DONATE $5 TO LEO'S CLEAN ELECTION CAMPAIGN!
Maine has been home to my family for four generations. My roots here run deep. I was fortunate to grow up with nine brothers and sisters. It didn’t take me long for me to learn the importance of a dollar. My first job was when I was 7, sweeping the local grocery store parking lot.
I never imagined I would run for public office at the state level. What I did imagine was building a life right here—raising a family, supporting my neighbors, and doing work that makes our communities stronger. But over the years I have watched the landscape of Maine change. A once thriving state is now at the bottom of all substantial rankings (energy, education, healthcare, taxes….) despite a major increase in State spending — an increase of 65% +$6 Billion) over just the last 6 years!
I have spent over 20 years serving my community with 12+ years on the School Board and Orono Town Council. On these Boards I have always focused on finances with a consistent theme, working to keep spending in check and property taxes affordable. As a Town Councilor I have voted against multiple budgets, unafraid of casting the lone vote, and these are the principles that I will bring to Augusta. I believe that we are at a breaking point and this November 3, 2026 election is critical for us to get back on a path of prosperity.
The government can’t fix all problems, but it must fix the problems that it’s created. There are many issues that matter to the people of Maine, but these are four that need to be addressed immediately:
Lower Energy Costs - Today, too many Maine families are facing heating season with fear. I will work to help build an energy system that's reliable, affordable, and built for the future ---- without losing sight of the realities people face right now. Maine’s average residential energy costs increased by a staggering 36.3 percent in just one year, from May 2024 to May 2025.
Move Education Rankings from the Bottom: I want to make sure every student in Maine has a real chance to succeed and will work to restore Maine’s ranking – In the 1990’s Maine was ranked Top 5 in the Country, today Maine is ranked in the Bottom 5.
Fix Healthcare in Maine: I have seen up close how much people rely on their local clinics and hospitals—and how stressful it is when care is too far away, too expensive, or too hard to access. I’m committed to strengthening rural healthcare, improving mental health services, and ensuring that the State is paying its bills. Maine healthcare is ranked at the bottom in the country with hospitals shutting down and people unable to get care.
Lower Taxes: Work to keep taxes reasonable and ensure that every dollar spent actually makes life better for Maine people, not out-of-state businesses. Maine has one of the highest tax burdens in the country.
I am running because I believe in Maine. I believe in strengthening what works, fixing what doesn’t, and always putting the people of Maine first.
I look forward to seeing you throughout the District 8 (Veazie, Orono, Old Town, Indian Island, Milford, Greenfield, Alton, Argyle, Greenbush, Summit & Grand Falls Townships, Lagrange, Edinburg, Passadumkeag, Lowell, Burlington, Howland, Enfield, Lincoln, Lee, Springfield, Winn, Webster Plt, Prentiss Twp, Carrol Plt, T3 R1, Lakeville, Pukakon Twp) and would appreciate your vote on November 3rd, 2026.
